 Hey Justin,

A few ideas.

Trace. Surprizingly enough it helps you to develop your skills, and eventually you will develop your own styles. It's how I learnt *shy*

If you are at BCHS, I'd suggest going in to see Mr. Kenakin.  Maybe even join the art club at lunch. He is an awesome teacher. (I mean.. he manages to take a class of grade 10 "stick figure" artists and turn them into what you see in the art room--which is nothing short of amazing.)

As with anything.. "practice makes perfect" the more opertunity you give yourself to learn through practice, the more you will learn.

Anyways, it's midnight and I NEED SLEEP! *Runs*

TAKE ART IN SUMMER SCHOOL!

*puts on cute face* Please?

^^  Basically everything that was already said above.  Do a lot of copying from other artists for awhile.  Maybe a few years.  Eventually, you'll develop your own style, but it takes a lot of time.  In the beginning years, I had a LOT of trouble with hands.  I could not draw the beautiful, graceful, anime style hands and it was really frustrating!  But once you practice a lot, you find it comes easier.  That's what happens with a lot of art!

...

ART!  SUMMER SCHOOL!  ART!  SUMMER SCHOOL![/subliminal messaging]

Personally, I find that art is a talent that can only be taught with diligence and self-preservation. I don't believe that you can get any help from anyone else, because everyone has their own way of artistically driving themselves.  I think your best bet is to stick with it and collect constructive criticism to help you along. I have spoken *puff of smoke*
